I'm slowly making my way through my September DONE list. One of the things I knew I wanted to do this month was make grape jelly. Both Jesse and my mom thought I was insane for making jelly while nine months pregnant and honestly while I was prepping I was thinking the same thing. But once I got started it took no time at all. I'll confess I did 95% of it sitting on a bar stool, which helped since my feet are always swollen.
So with 17 pounds of concord grapes we now have 20 half pint jars of grape jelly and five pints of concentrate grape juice. Yum! I got my recipes here and here.
I see a lot of peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches in my future!
