Happy Halloween

Last night we took our little ladybug and sunflower to their grandparent's house for trick or treating and dinner.  Olivia got some chocolate and sugar free pumpkin peeps and Emily got a Cookie Monster.
I hope you had a spooktacular Halloween!

19 Months

Sweet Olivia,

You're 19 months old! I can't believe what a big girl you are.  So what have you been up to?

You weigh a whopping 25.5 pounds and are 32 1/2 inches long.  You just started wearing size 5 diapers and 18 month clothes.  You're wearing size 5 shoes.  You have 14 teeth and you're cutting two more.

You are hilarious.  You love to laugh and act goofy.  You've even started laughing when other people laugh.  You always have a smile on your face.  You're very affectionate.  You love giving kisses and hugs.  I think you give a hundred kisses a day.

You're still not saying many words but that doesn't stop you from talking all the time.  You have definitely found your voice and you're not afraid to use it.  You babble nonstop during the day and can be very loud at times.  When you're looking for something you'll hold your hands up and shrug.  You know all of your typical body parts so now we're working on your knees and elbows.  You always have phone to your ear.  You also like to text.  I wonder if this is a preview of your teenage years.

You love to sing and dance.  You'll dance to anything, even the Weather Channel music.  You will also sing along with some songs.  You love playing with your babies.  You feed them, burp them, change them, kiss them and take them for walks.  You always have a baby with you where ever you go.
You don't walk anywhere, you run.  You love to go down the slide and say "wee".  You can climb in and out of your booster seat when it's time to eat.  You also love to do somersaults.  You've gotten so tall that you're taking stuff of the edge of the kitchen counter.  You love to draw and are definitely right handed.  You eat (with fork and spoon), draw and throw a ball with your right hand.

You're a big sister!!  You love Emily. You are always hugging and kissing Emily.  You love to help out.  You'll throw diapers away and put bottles in the sink.  Every morning you run to Emily's pack n play so you can tell her "hi".  You have the sweetest little sing songy voice when you're talking to her.  I think you'll be best friends.

You're such a sweet and beautiful little girl! We're so proud to be your parents.

Halloween Past

Last year was Olivia's first Halloween.  It took Jesse and I forever to decide what she would wear.  Finally we decided on an elephant.  I know it's an unusual choice but she sure was cute!
Here are two of my other favorite Halloween outfits from last year.
I can't wait to see the girls in their costumes tonight for trick or treating! I love Halloween!!

Check Up

Olivia had her 18 month check up today.  I successfully packed up the girls and got them to the doctors office on time. Yay me!  As soon as we got in the exam room Olivia started to cry. Poor thing knew she was going to get shots.  Other than the shots she had a great check up and as Dr. Hannagan says "she's perfect".  Olivia weighs 25.5 pounds and is 32 1/2 inches long.
Jesse hasn't shaved since Emily was born.  He doesn't know if he's going to keep it but I'm liking the "winter" beard.
Emily tagged along and slept during the appointment.
Speaking of Emily, she wore her knit baby snow boots today.  I LOVE them.  They're so cute.

I love having a newborn in the house.  I love the way she smells.  I love how she loves to cuddle.  I love her gassy smiles, grunts and coos.  I even love our sleepless nights because I know they won't last long.  Soon she'll be a busy toddler just like her sister.

Our First Day

Yesterday was the first day I didn't have help with the girls.  I was very nervous about how I would care for both girls by myself but we had a great day! We did a lot of snuggling, reading and dancing.  I even managed to get both girls to take a nap at the same time which means I got a nap too.  Yay! I love my girls and my time home with them!

Project 52: Date 14-16

So Jesse and I have managed to still have dates over the past few weeks.  I'm just a little behind on posting about them.

Date 14: The day before Emily was born Jesse and I had a lunch date.  We went to Aki, our local Japanese Steak House.  It was nice to get together in the middle of the day and just relax.  It was also a cold and rainy day so we had the place to ourselves.  We had a great lunch.  While we ate we talked about our hopes and dreams for the girls and how excited we were to meet little Emily.  It was a wonderful midday date.  It was nice that we were able to take time out to spend time together before our lives became a little busy.

Date 15: This date was actually complaints of the hospital.  The night after Emily was born Jesse and I were served a special "couples dinner" with sparkling grape juice.  We didn't get our special dinner with Olivia because I was on a liquid diet.  It was nice for Jesse and I to eat a meal together.  The last one we had together was our lunch date.  During dinner we talked about how lucky and blessed we are to have to beautiful daughters.

Date 16: Last week my parents were in town and offered to watch the girls so Jesse and I could go out on a date.  Unfortunately we were too tired to leave the house.  So one night after the girls went to bed we snuggled up and watched movie trailers.  We probably won't make it to the movies anytime soon but it was nice to see what is coming out this holiday season.  I'm very excited about the new Harry Potter, but Jesse hates Potter.  We both want to see 127 Hours.  It looks great and heart breaking.  I think this will be a date we do again.  It was a cheap movie night.  Next time we might have some popcorn too.

Ten on Ten: October 2010

Ten on Ten: Take a picture every hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth day of the month.

Since we have newborn my pictures aren't consecutive because we I spent most of the day napping.  Today was a quiet day at home since Emily is still on the biliblanket.

Since I can't bend over I used my foot to pick up a card for Olivia.  She thought it was the funniest thing she had ever since and kept throwing the cards on the floor.
