30 months

Olivia is 2.5 years old today. She's growing up so fast. She is daytime potty trained, independent, full of opinions and a fire ball of energy. Olivia talks non-stop, loves to laugh and help mommy clean. She's still a horrible sleeper and we butt heads at least once a day but absolutely adore her. I'm so thankful that I get to spend everyday with her and her infectious smile.

It's so hard to pick just five, but here they are in no particular order.

This n' that {and a leaf dance}

Jesse was out of town last week and the playroom might have looked like this the entire time. Olivia loves rearranging the furniture.
Saturday we celebrated Jaxon's first birthday. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. Our group photo was so comical. Jaxon was tired and cried the whole time and Olivia reused to stand still.
We also made our annual trip to Reynold's Farm. I was going to put a link to last year's trip but apparently I didn't write about it. Probably because I had a newborn that screamed the whole time we were there {oh, those colic days}. Aren't the girls' tops adorable? I absolutely love them. This is the third year Olivia wore hers. I'm hoping to get one more year out of it.
Both the girls had a blast {and we did too}. I don't know what Olivia loved more the silly goats or the slides.
Our my agenda this week:
1. Work on party crafts. I didn't do much crafting last week while Jes was gone. Instead I passed out every night.
2. I'm also hoping to finish up on some house projects. Grandma is coming over a couple of days this week to play with the girls while I work. I'm so thankful for her help.
3. Start, finish and order Emily's birth book. Better late than never, right?
4. Do a fall leaf dace {think rain dance}. I'm very anxious for our leaves to start changing colors.

What are you up to this week?

Fall {bucket list}

I don't know if I've mentioned this or not, but fall is my favorite time of year. There is so much fun stuff to do. In an effort to make sure we don't forget to do anything I made a bucket list for us. I can't wait to start marking things off our list.
What's on your fall bucket list?

This n' that {and a little more}

Yesterday was my sweet MIL's birthday. Here she is with Olivia as they head out for their weekly lunch and shopping date. Olivia loves her dates.
Saturday we went to the Franklin Fall Farm Fun Fest {say that three times}. Olivia was over the moon excited that she was going to a farm. The girl loves animals. Bonus they gave out free ice cream and milk. I love fall festivals. We're going to a  festival/pumpkin patch/ farm event for the next four weekends. LOVE IT! {That cow was totally giving us the evil eye}.
On the way home we found these in someone's side yard. You never know what we're going to find driving down a country road. Olivia was scared of the animals and didn't want to touch them.
Emily has discovered that she can move the canopy on her car seat and now loves to play with it. She is quickly out growing her infant seat. We have her new car seat but I'm not sure I'm ready to give up her portable seat. Right now I can just throw her seat in the back of the shopping cart and have Liv sit up front. I don't know if I can handle two kids loose in a shopping cart.
I won this adorable wrislet in a giveaway over at Sunny Vanilla. Isn't it cute? You should definitely check her out. Jennifer has some great craft tutorials. I love her napkin rings from milk cartons. Genius!
Jesse found Olivia sleep walking this weekend. Saturday night he was in the living room watching tv and when he looked up he saw Olivia standing in the doorway. He asked her what she was doing but she didn't say anything.  She just stood there staring at him. So he told her to go back to bed and she turned around and went back to the bedroom. He said after he helped her get into the bed she curled up, closed her eyes and went to sleep. I'm a little freaked out about it. I'm worried about her safety in the middle of the night if she's just wandering around. Also it's a little creepy. Hopefully it was just a freak one time event. On a funny note this is how she fell asleep last night {phone pic}.
I can't believe fall tv returns today! I didn't watch any tv this summer. I'm looking forward to some tv dates with Jesse. My favorite shows: The Good Wife, Castle, Glee, Bones, The Office and Modern Family. I'm also excited about Sarah Michelle Gellar's new show {I love Buffy}. Jesse is excited about the X Factor. What do you watch?

What's on our agenda this week?
1. Enjoy this cool fall weather with lots of trips to the park and some pumpkin ice cream.
2. Olivia and I are continuing with apples this week. I'm hoping to find sometime for us to make applesauce.
3. I hope to finish designing the printables for Emily's party, make some tissue pom poms and buy fabric for the girls party dresses.

What are you up to this week?

{edgier} shoes

I don't usually dress the girls alike but I couldn't resist putting them in these adorable dresses that their Nanny made. I LOVE these girls {and my Nanny}. The shoes...swoon. Jesse bought them for Olivia's first Christmas. He thought she needed to be a little edgier. I'm going to be so sad when Emily can't wear them anymore.

{fabric} Pumpkin

I have loved seeing all the pumpkins on Pinterest this month. I planned on making fabric pumpkins like these until I saw this pumpkin and was totally inspired. Here's what I made. Isn't it adorable? I seriously can't stop looking at it.
 Made it using this tutorial with a couple of alteration. What do you think?

{first} dress

I love having two girls. They can be a bit dramatic, but they are so much fun. When I found out I was having a girl I fell in love the with idea of making her dresses. Fast forward 31+ months and I finally made my first dress. Yay!  I followed this 10 minute onesie dress tutorial. It took me two evenings, three YouTube videos {basting stitch} and a couple of texts to my mom but, I finally got it done. Don't get to close though because there are some major flaws, but Emily looks pretty darn cute. I learned a lot from this little dress. I'm looking forward to making more dresses and perfecting my techniques.

 If you know of any sewing blogs or sites that are helpful to sewing newbies I'd love to hear about them.

This 'n that

 Yesterday was opening day for the Steelers. Wow, they looked horrible. But the girls looked super cute in their Steelers gear.
Olivia loved wearing her football dress again this year. I can't believe how much she's grown.
This little girl has become a night owl. I'm amazed at how she wakes up the moment my head hits the pillow. A couple of nights I've only gotten three hours of sleep. Not cool.
I've spent a couple of hours this weekend working on Emily's party invitation. Photoshop annoys me sometimes. I'm beginning to wonder if I should've just ordered this one instead of trying to save money {I feel the same way about blog design}.

Speaking of invites, Emily's party is in four weeks and I need to get planning. I'm really excited about throwing a fall party. It's my favorite time of year {in case I haven't mentioned it}. We're having an orange and pink pumpkin party.

I love sock season. It's gotten cool enough at night that I've started wearing socks to bed. Yay! I'm hoping to put flannel sheets on the bed in a couple weeks. Oh, how I love this time of year!

What's on our agenda this week:
1. Finish prepping the closets and house for fall.
2. Olivia and I are starting tot school again this week. We'll be doing the letter A and learning all about apples.  I have some really fun crafts planned.
3. Start party planning. Not only do I have Emily's party, but the following week I'm co-hosting a baby shower.
4. Playing outside. After a week of rain, the girls and I are looking forward to some time at the park with our friends.

What's on your agenda this week?
