Our Babymoon last summer
Eleven years ago today Jesse and I got married. We don't have a wedding photo to show you because we eloped and despite what he thinks I wouldn't have it any other way.

In our eleven years we've lived in two different cities in two different states. We've had two cats {three if you count the cat we cat-sat for three years} and grieved the loss of one. We've lived in two apartments and bought a house. We've seen Pearl Jam three times. We drove to Florida to see the Steelers play. We've gone to the movies twice only to have theater malfunctions. We've been to three amusement parks and five zoos. We've had five baseball game dates. I beat him every time we play Uno and 221b Baker St. He always beats me at Trivial Pursuit. We've taken countless road trips and have hundreds of inside jokes. We've survived four hurricanes together. We've eaten Pad Thai at every Thai restaurant in every town we've visited. We've celebrated and welcomed new family members and friends. We've grieved the loss of family members and friends.

He loves the way I talk with my hands and I love that he paces when he talks on the phone. He loves that I say "get down" with a long southern drawl and I love that he can name every song. I love how much commercials drive him crazy and that he always saves his egg roll for me. We love to spend our {summer} Friday nights sitting in the backyard, drinking a cold beer and just talking.

He's been my best friend and love for over thirteen years. We've had rough patches but we've worked through them. We're in it for life.

I love the way he makes me laugh {good hearty from the soul laugh}. I love that he gets me and knows when I'm full of shit.
Emily's birthday
I love that we chose to live this life together. I love the two girls we created. I love how the girls light up when they see him. I love how excited he is to see them. I love that he works hard to provide for us.

I love him!

{weekend} Recap

Our Thanksgiving plans changed at the last minute so I cooked our dinner. Thankfully I didn't burn/dry out/drop the turkey. Olivia was my sous chef. She did a great job helping me in the kitchen.
We've been having beautiful weather this week so we're soaking up all the outside time we can get.
Emily got a fat lip. Again I'm not sure what she did. I'm a bit concerned that she might end up being my daredevil. Which isn't a good thing since Olivia got stitches at 16 months.
Emily is knee walking. We're still working on walking and she takes three steps by herself before she falls. She loves practicing and is starting to stand up in the middle of the floor. Soon she'll be a walker.
We had a play date with two of the cutest boys I know.
While I was addressing our Christmas cards Olivia decided to make her own cards. After her pictures dried I added them to the envelopes.
Olivia found some extra stockings in our decorations box and decided to "put boots on the tree"
Olivia put the ornaments on the tree while I told her the story behind each of them.
Later Olivia would point out ornaments to Emily and tell her about them.
Even though it feels like Christmas inside it's still fall outside. While I was raking Olivia played in the leaves. Olivia is standing in this pile. Yep, we've gotta lot of leaves.
My wreath is now a hula hoop.

I only have a couple of pictures of this week. A tragedy hit my mom group and it has been a sad week.

Olivia LOVES painting with shaving cream in the tub. The best part is it cleans up very easy.
The girls love having lunch at Grandma's house. It always ends in chocolate cookie yumminess.
Yesterday we had a playdate at our local gymnastics school. Both the girls love playing there. Olivia walked across the balance beam all by herself.

Miscellany Monday

I have jury duty today. I have my fingers and toes crossed that I don't get picked to serve on a jury. Or if I do it's a super duper quick trial.

Jesse's birthday was two weeks ago {yes, I'm that behind on blogging}. We put a sign on the door to greet him when he got home from work. I'm so thankful my girls think I'm a good artist. Olivia requested that she and Emily wear dresses and shoes in their "picture". Emily also has a pacifier.
Emily got her first boo boo. I'm not sure how but she cut herself.
The leaves are finally starting to fall off our trees. Olivia loves jumping and playing in our sea of leaves.
My Nanny made little towels for the girls kitchen. Isn't the cutest thing ever. They love having their own towels.
This week I finally let Olivia ride in a car shopping cart. She LOVED it and you know what, so did I. She was entertained and I wasn't stressed out about her sitting on the bread. The downside is we went to Walmart today and Olivia had a major meltdown when I told her she had to ride in a regular cart. Thankfully I was able to distract her with my phone. Yay, for fun kiddo apps.

Ten on Ten {November 2011}

Ten on Ten: take one photo every hour for ten hours and capture the beauty of your day.

We've had very early mornings {5 am} since the time change. Today Olivia slept until 6:45 am. Woohoo. Unfortunately both girls woke up with runny noses and a horrible cough.
One of our trees lost all of its leaves last night.
Blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
We took a trip to the bank {it's 32 miles away}. I had Olivia pack a bag of books to help entertain her on our trip.
On the way home we stopped at a rest area so Olivia could go potty. She also jumped in some rain puddles. Side note: Olivia ALWAYS wears her rain boots, except today when there are puddles to jump in. She didn't seem to mind.
Naptime. Only Emily napped. Olivia has been on a nap strike for a couple of weeks.
We colored some leaves with do-a-dots.
I've had the urge to listen to Christmas music this week, so I turned some on...I'm not ready. I put Adele back on.
Tree snack.
Emily has been very clingy today. Not only does she feel rotten but she's having separation issues. She hates when I leave the room.

Olivia and I made ghost feet.
Emily had to get some blood work done. We're happy to report that she's very healthy.
Ready for trick or treating. More on Halloween here.
Olivia took a green pepper from the fridge and ate it like an apple. What can I say, the girl loves peppers.
A morning at the park.
Olivia insisted on wearing this outfit {nightgown and heels} to Mom2Mom but I wouldn't let her. She had it back on the moment we walked in the door.

Our Halloween got off to a rocky start. Emily has been under the weather so she went to the doctor and had blood work done that morning. She's fine. She just had a little virus.

Throughout the day every time I talked to Olivia about trick or treating she told me "I stay home". She didn't even want to put on her mermaid dress. After awhile Jesse was able to get Olivia in her costume. Then she and I walked around the house and trick or treated at our front door. After that she was hooked and ready go to more houses.
While Emily and Jesse stayed home Olivia and I headed over to Grammy and Pap's neighborhood. After each house Olivia would ask to go to another house. Later we went to Grandma's house. We didn't tell her that we were coming so she was very surprised.
My two little princesses.
I'm so glad Olivia loved trick or treating. The next day she asked to go again.
