Olivia {day}

We started Olivia's birthday with a pancake breakfast. She loved it and asked for thirds. We also let her pick her seat and she choose to sit in the highchair.
Then we went to the park and feed the ducks.
She loved chasing the ducks
and they chased us too.
Then we took a break and played on the playground.
We finished walking around the park and saw this huge swan.
And our stalkers came back looking for some more food.
Emily woke up towards the end of our visit.
After lunch we took Olivia back to Monkey Joe's to bounce.
Taking a bounce break.
Naptime
When we got home we had CAKE. Olivia adores cake. What kid doesn't?
After cake Olivia had a bath. It's her favorite thing to do. I made her shaving cream paint to play with in the tub. It was a huge hit.
While Olivia was in the tub Jesse set out Olivia's birthday presents. We got her accessories for her babies. They now have their own pack-n-play, bouncer, changing station, carrier, front carrier and high chair. She also got a new tea set.
Then we all read Olivia's birth and first year book. She loved looking at all the pictures and wanted to read it over and over again.

After dinner we skyped with Mimi, Gramps, Auntie Nichole and Uncle Andrew.
I think our birthday girl had a great day. I know we did.

Staycation

Sorry I've been quiet this week. Jesse has been on vacation since Saturday so we're having lots of family time and doing some spring cleaning. Plus a certain little girl has a birthday party this weekend so I've been running errands everyday and crafting like a mad woman every night. Here are some random phone photos I've taken this week.

I let Olivia eat a donut while we were grocery shopping. I've been such a sucker this week. I think it'll be a hard adjustment when I go bad to saying "no" next week.
The girls and I went to the playground by our house. It's the first time we've used the double stroller and let me tell you it's hard to steer with two kiddos in it. I don't know what was harder going up hill or down.
Olivia thought Daddy needed help moving her sandbox.
It must be spring because we've been seeing bunnies all week. I know it's hard to see but it's to the left of Jesse. Of course it was a very smart bunny and ran away before Olivia could get too close.
Olivia used the laundry basket so she could turn on the music for Emily. Then of course she had to dance to it.
Tomorrow is Olivia day! We have some fun things planned. I can't believe she's two years old. I've been very emotional this week. I can't imagine what I'll be like when they go to school or college or get married. Eek! For now I'm just happy with two. I hope you're having a great week.

Project 365 {78-84}

day 78: The girls are playing with a new toy while I play with my new toy (Android, love it!)
day 79: Ready to dig into her cake. More on her{ first}second birthday party here.
day 80: Watching Olivia bounce. You can see Olivia bouncing here.
day 81: Swimming with Mimi
day 82: Oatmeal and sweet potatoes, yum!
day 83: It's 40 degrees and raining but Olivia insisted on wearing a sundress. Thankfully it was a stay at home day.
day 84: I put Emily in her crib after a diaper change while I washed my hands. When I came back I found Olivia in the crib. She put a paci in Emily's mouth, covered her with a blanket, turned on the mobile and was singing and dancing to the music. Gotta love her!

{I} Bounce

Olivia is obsessed with bouncing. She's always throwing everything off her bed and bouncing on it. So while my parents were in town we took her to Monkey Joe's so she could bounce her little heart out.
Emily had bounce envy.
I love that Olivia had so much fun. I know we're going to be regulars at Monkey Joe's.

Birthday {part 1}

Yesterday Jesse asked me if I'd stopped blogging. Ha! Sorry, I guess it's been a couple of days. We had a great visit with my parents. The girls were over the moon with all the hugs and kisses.

Since my parents won't be here for Olivia's birthday they had a little party for her on Sunday. She got a little table and chairs set, tons of dresses, a teddy bear and my step-father made Olivia a dress-up closet.
Olivia loved all of her new accessories.
She even got Dora shoes.
Emily had fun dressing up too.
And no party is complete without cake. Which Olivia loved and tried to walk off with it.
That night Olivia spent the night with Mimi and Gramps at the hotel. It was her first sleepover. I got a little teary eyed when I was saying bye to her. Yep, she wore that hat all night.
Of course she had a blast and ended up staying two nights.
