Freezer Meal Exchange Group {November}

Last week we had our November meal exchange. I'm beyond excited that my freezer is full of yummy food. There were nine of us exchanging this month and we have become very efficient in our exchanging of meals.

Our menu for this month:
Chili w/ cornbread
Ham and Cheese Quiche

Baked Ravioli
Crockpot Sausage and Peppers
Salisbury Meatballs with Mushroom Cream Sauce
Stuffed Chicken Shells
Crock Pot Sausage and Bean
Tequila-lime Chicken
Healthy Mama BBQ Chicken

Today I'm going to share the sausage and bean recipe. Let me just tell you, this meal doesn't look very good but oh my! It is delish! It is a perfect cold weather meal and it is very filling.

Crock Pot Sausage and Bean
Serves 4-6

1 pound Sausage, thinly sliced
1 Onion, chopped

1 cup Celery, chopped
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1.5 tsp Dry mustard
1/4 cup Honey
1-10oz Can Tomatoes with Chili Peppers
1-16oz can Butter Beans, rinsed and drained
1-16oz can Kidney Beans, rinsed and drained
1-16oz can Garbanzo Beans, rinsed and drained

In a large skillet brown sausage, allow to cool. Place sausage in a freezer with onion, celery, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and honey. Freeze.

To serve: thaw contents of bag and place in a slow cooker. Add tomatoes, butter beans, kidney beans, and garbanzo beans and stir. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 2-4 hours.

Serve over rice with shredded cheese.

Enjoy!

YUM! I would love recipes to a bunch of those! Can you share the other recipes you get? I am seriously thinking to start a group here (Central IL) starting if Feb. I want to learn how to freeze more meals! I work full time in the public schools and have an Etsy shop... and 2 small children and a husband to feed! :-)

Health is one of the many aspect in our life that we should take good care because if we are sick , we became useless and unimportant. We loose hope and everything became stagnant. Visit my site for more information. Thanks.
